SPARK Kindness presents - Managing Moods 101: How to Help Kids Develop an Emotional Vocabulary

Event Date: Wednesday, March 20th at 7pm at Wilson Middle School, Natick

Event Description: SPARK Kindness presents a FREE in-person community program. In this interactive talk, author and child development expert Deborah Farmer Kris, M.Ed., will give practical advice about how to help kids name, normalize, and navigate their feelings – especially the tricky ones – so they can better manage themselves and the world around them. We all want to raise kind and thoughtful kids – children who can reach out with compassion and bounce back from challenges. That’s why it’s important to support their emotional awareness and resilience. Emotionally literate kids are better equipped to learn in school, deal with difficulties, form healthy relationships, and make responsible choices. This program is a great opportunity for parents of preschool and elementary-aged children to add helpful tools to their parenting toolkit!

Registration Link: http://tinyurl.com/SPARKManagingMoods

Free Childcare During the Program! Free childcare for kids ages 5 years old and up is being offered during this program by the amazing staff at Natick Recreation & Parks. Pre-registration is required and space is limited, so sign-up early. Childcare will be offered in the Wilson Middle School Gymnasium. Drop-off begins at 6:45pm, and pick-up through 8:45pm. Click here to register your child(ren) today!

HELLO FROM THE NEW BOARD!

The Lilja PTO 2023-2024 Board

  • Rebecca Pineault - President

  • Shannon O’Brien - Vice President

  • Jess Murphy - Treasurer

  • Alison Sullivan - Communication Coordinator

We continue to look for people to help out with some of our awesome events throughout the year (The Lilja Carnival, the Book Fair, Yearbook, etc). These events are much beloved, and have a foundation already in place. All we need is YOU to make it all happen! Even if you can only help in a small way, every little bit counts toward making a memorable experience for our Lilja Lions.

Please reach out to the PTO at pto@liljapto.org for volunteer opportunities or questions!
